Welcome to GermanSuperDog.com!  This page was created to share my love of what is truly the most versatile breed out there, the Deutsch-Drahthaar (DD).  

The first time I was told about this breed they were described as German super dogs.  Since that conversation I have had the pleasure of  training one of my own as well as hunting with a handful of Deutsch-Drahthaars and everyone of them has lived up to the hype.  

If you are interested in finding a single dog that can handle any hunting scenario from upland and waterfowl to blood tracking you are in the right place.  The Deutsch-Drahthaar is one of the few breeds around that offers the versatility to hunt waterfowl in the morning and chase upland game in the field that afternoon. Strict hunt test and breed regulations ensure the motto "through performance to standard".
